Half term break

I am off for a couple of day as it is half term and I decided to start couple of new projects. If you are addicted to knitting like I am you will understand, it is pretty normal. I cannot have just one thing on the needles. I simply get bored. I had a look through my stash and found two balls of Jaeger Natural Fleece, 100% wool and decided to knit a snood.

I completed it on Saturday when I was watching my son playing tennis tournament. I was spotted by people who were asking me about my knitting. I like to knit in public places, it always attracts positive attention. I was even told I am very talented and should be proud of myself. That comment made my day :)

I haven't had a chance to take a picture of me in a snood as it has not been washed yet. I am going to take it as soon as I wash and block it.

I like Sundays when I don't have to go anywhere and can stay at home all day having  a "duvet day". That is what I did this Sunday. I went through my stash and found two balls of Rowan. I love it :)
My friend Jenny gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday and I am going to knit something especial for the little man.

I made this hat and I am planning to knit some more things for the baby. I love knitting baby clothes. They looks so cute and completion only takes one evening. You can see the results of your work straight away.

Nice evening everyone!

Snowed in

Eventually it happened. Snow!!! Eveyone was waiting for it, my son in excitement. I was dreading it to be honest beause I started thinking what we are going to do tmorrow when I have to go to work and my son to school. I guess schools are going to be closed and I am going to have to frantically look for someone to have him for the day. I woke up to snow this morning. I took the picture through my window. I must admit it looks lovely.

I haven't seen my son get ready so quickly in the morning. I didnt have to ask him to brush his teeths and change his clothes. He couldnt wait to go and play in the snow.

I must say this snowy weather is conductive to my knitting. I will sit on my favourite sofa with a mug of coffee and knit :) I have received a parcel yesterday with hand dyed wool . Its 100% wool Bluefaced Leicester Superwash. I love the colours. I am considering this wool for stripy cardigan.

This is Polish knitting magzine with a project I am hooked on now. It is crotchet and knitting together. I have completed crocheted part and I am going to do the rest now.

I hope to finish it today or at least get on with a large part of it. I have another project already lined up :)

Introduction

Hello to everyone who happens to read this blog. I have been knitting and crocheting as long as I remember. I made my first jumper when I was 15 years old. I like to use only good quality yarns and if I could afford I would only use the most expensive one preferably organic :)
I am already writing a blog in my native language and decided that it would be nice to start writing it in English as well.
I have enclosed my recent projects. Hair band with a flower. Made of 100%Bluefaced Leicester Wool hand dyed, 4ply. I used needles and crochet size 4mm. Patter is my own creation!

This is a picture of mittens that I knitted for one of my friends. Pattern can be found on ravelry

Have a good day everyone!
